3)Scotland:Edinburgh is the capital; thistle is the national symbol; patron saint is St.Andrew; ist is the most mountainous part of the country;Scotland has three officially recognised languages: English, Scots and Scottish Gaelic.
4)Wales:the capital city is Cardiff; national symbol is leek or daffodil; patron saint is St.David; the majority of people use English as their first language, but Welsh is also spoken there; the main population and industrial areas are in South Wales
5)Northern Ireland-the capital is Belfast; it belongs to UK; shamrock is the national symbol; patron saint is St.Patrick; The Irish language (Gaeilge) is the native language of the whole island of Ireland.
The British often talk about the weather because it rains a lot. Annual rainfall is big. The island is situated in a place, where there is a constant influence of different air masses. But the British are quite used to it, the umbrella is their big friend I guess...
Translating: lõõskav päike-blazing sun; tuulispask-whirlwind; orkaan-hurricane; paduvihm-downpour; kallab kui oavarrest-it is raining cats and dogs
